For us, family has always been the center of our lives. It’s what everything else tends to come back to and what drives us.
We’re Sayer and Alyssa, a husband and wife team building our life along Florida’s panhandle with our two children, Tristan and Austen. Alyssa grew up here, and Sayer began vacationing here with his family in the 90s before eventually making it home for good.
Like so many families, our best memories are simple ones. Beach days that ease into sunset, long walks along the shoreline, and those quiet evening hours after a full day outside when everything settles into a familiar stillness.
Some things have changed along the coast over the years, but some things still feel the same. The water, the sand, the sunsets. For thousands of years people have gathered around fire to slow down, sit together, share stories, and connect with each other. Last Light grew out of our love for evenings like that.
